knitting at the edge of the apocalypse

With the universe collapsing into the singularity that is Trump, we have 2 choices - run (!!!) or stay and fight.  On the morning of November 9th,  I wanted to run like hell and leave this godforsaken country to fend for itself.  For better or worse, I'm stuck here for the time being, which gives me no other choice but to stay and fight.  But hey - my needles are sharp and I've got a huge mess of pink yarn to pick from soooo... pussyhat project here I come!  

At this moment there are 6660 pussy hat projects posted on Ravelry.  Hell YES!!!!!!  You're looking at #6661.  If there's one thing knitters love - it's a cause to knit for.  We are armed with our needles and a fighting spirit.  Watch it TRUMP - here we come!.    We are coming from every corner of this country in every shade of pink and we are united in our spirit and our resolve.  We stand united to declare out loud and proud that Women's Rights are Human Rights!

The deets:  Yarn: Good question!  Feels like Berocco Vintage Worsted  Needles:  US6 & US7.  Cast On 80 sts with smaller needle, join to work in the round. Work 2 x 2 rib for 3". Change to larger needles. Continue working in stockinette stitch until hat measures 8.5".  Easy peasy.  3 hours later (or so) bind off using kitchener stitch for that nice smooth top.
